Farm and Fun Time

Farm and Fun Time is a television show produced and hosted by our very own Kris Truelsen with Bill and the Belles supplying musical breaks, jingles, and songs. The program features various segments highlighting Appalachian culture including farm visits, heirloom recipes and folklife traditions. Every show features well known nationally touring Americana and American roots artists. Farm and Fun Time is truly a celebration of what live radio/television once represented and still can! Airing in over 20 million homes in the South, you can tune in to Farm and Fun Time on various PBS stations including UNC-TV, Blueridge PBS, and East TN PBS. Don’t get the program in your area? Let your local PBS provider know you want Farm and Fun Time on your station!

In the 1940s and the 1950s, Farm & Fun Time was an important program in our region which helped to establish the careers of legendary performers including Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, the Stanley Brothers, the Osborne Brothers, Mac Wiseman, The Blue Sky Boys and many more. Bill and the Belles are incredibly proud to be the house band and a part of reviving radio history. Farm and Fun Time broadcasts live from the Birthplace of Country Music Museum every second Thursday of the month. We hope to see you at the next one!
